My passion for military history began in childhood, leafing through my father’s collection of military reference books. What started as a boy’s fascination with things that “go boom” evolved into a deeper appreciation of how war brings out both the best and worst in people.
From identifying a T-34 versus a PzKpfw IV by silhouette to studying the lives of men from Patton to Pyle, from generals to privates, I came to understand that military history cannot be separated from the social, cultural, and political realities of its time.
I am a licensed Singapore Tourism Board tour guide, specialising in battlefield site visits and military history. This website is my space to share everything about the Malayan Campaign and the Defence and Fall of Singapore—a story that, even 80 years on, continues to spark discussion due to Singapore’s unique wartime role.
